Perspiration

Get ready,  it’s hot out there and time to sweat!  Watch as the beads form on your skin… Now they are there, dripping off you.

Your biology is hard to ignore, especially when it’s summer. You’re going to sweat; it’s called being human. It’s not so pleasant sometimes either. No, because soon enough you will feel it dripping off your face and drenching your clothes with water and salt. The endocrine glands do some serious work. The good news is, eventually, the sweat evaporates off your skin and cools you down (ahh.. relief).  Unfortunately, you can’t change this biological fact. You’ll have to deal with it if you don’t like to sweat. We can’t change many things about our biology, although we sure like manipulating our truth with good old-fashioned science. Certainly, we control our sweat as we do other natural things… But, most of us ( especially in the more tropical states) still have to deal with it…  and science can’t always be there to help us….

Biology is life. Yes, sweating is for cooling purposes. It’s a process that works thanks to the coiled sweat glands in our skin, which we remember fondly from our anatomy class as the dermis.

Anatomy is for winners!

Ok, Winners! We got you here, and let’s work out by hitting the gym while we are at it, too, because we know anything that is good for the heart is good for the brain. Gosh, that sounds so sweet. The heart and brain, together. GET THEM BOTH RIPPED. Live long, and prosper. Don’t take it too easy now; ensure you get your mind, body, and spirit doing well.

Besides the heat and a good workout, anxiety will make you sweat. Those amphetamine-induced study binges will do it, too. Drugs definitely make you sweat. I don’t recommend them, but this article is all about sweating. Just make sure that all of the work doesn’t get to you. That’s right, while sitting down with a customer at your stepping stone job, or watching your boss come in for a talk at your 9-5, keep it cool. Try to keep it cool under pressure. Why not handle pressure better than before?

Be patient and work through it. It will become easier because you’ll develop the mindset for it. You’ll appear more confident and capable when you don’t let them see you sweat.

Now, let’s return to the topic of winning. Remember that your idea is sheer genius, but the rest is all perspiration. So get to sweating. In this hard life, it is indeed a no pain, no gain rule.

“Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration” – Thomas Edison.

Edison had a way with inventions. He is credited with inventing the Incandescent Lamp ( which we all know and love). He had the persistence and dedication for it. It was a labor of love.

“I sweat, if anything comes easy to me, I mistrust it.” – Lili Palmer

Keep working and don’t give up! Sweat!
